WOW – what a conference we had two weeks ago!
Our Western/Northwestern Division of the College Band Directors National Conference was truly the best conference in our 24-year history. We had eleven concerts during the conference with an average audience size of approximately 400 people. Clinic sessions drew from 35 to 70 directors and guests.

I would also like to thank the members of my community adult band, the Reno Wind Symphony for their participation in the Quality Music Session Without Excessive Technical Demands Clinic, and also to my University of Nevada Wind Ensemble for their presentation in The Wind Band Music of Julie Giroux. Finally, a special thank you to our National President, Eric Rombach-Kendall, for conducting the 2012 Intercollegiate Band.

Of course we had an enthusiastic crowd for my final clinic, “Attitude Adjustment Session”. About 40 directors made it to that closing session before hitting the road. What a hang!
